Revox B77 MK I Stereo tape recorder.

A concept render of a Revox B77 MK I stereo tape recorder.

The Revox B77 MK I replaced the extremely popular A77 reel-to-reel tape recorder in 1977. The new model outplayed its predecessor in terms of technology, especially in drive and precision of the tape winding. The B77 is a model equipped with heads of the same polishing standard as those found in professional studio players. Thanks to a separate recording and playback function, it is possible to monitor the recording with a delay of a fraction of a second. This means that the user can interrupt the recording at any time if not satisfied with the recorded music. Thanks to modern and reliable solutions, very solid, top-quality construction and professional appearance, the B77 won the hearts of customers and set standards in its class of reel-to-reel tape recorders.
